Long Etrangère

The road goes ever on and on/ Out from the door from where it began/ Now, far ahead the road has gone/ And I must follow if I can/ Pursuing it with eager feet/ Until it meets some other way/ Where many paths and errands meet/ And whither then I cannot say. J.R.R. Tolkien

You thought this was a travel log...

But it's also a help me plan my wedding and my life log.
So, opinions on wedding invitations samples I should order (especially addressed to the other person getting married August 12th 2006 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church)

oh, reason for evident calla lily preference...one of our big patrons is St. Joseph and his symbol is a lily. And Calla lilies are just easier to make into boutonieres :) (by the same token I don't want to give the impression there will be oodles and oodles of them as they are expensive! just some here and there.)

(click on name to see invite.)
(will probably be updating this page...feel free to suggest other invites or sites if you find any)

shades o blue too

J. says this makes us look like an art gallery opening...

this says purple...I hope it's as blue as it looks...
ditto for the last...
you'll have to help us pick out a pretty picture

I want to go with the ecru and taupe rose- no pink and no bows!

Genevieve is just a long single sheet with whatever type you want on it and a ribbon around it...

Yay! St. Joseph! I'll pray to him for your wedding and marriage--I can't think of a better saint to be your patron right now.

Thanks for the comments everybody! Don't worry Jo, I know stuff's been crazy and have been telling my mom...when I get a phone card and manage not to lose it two seconds later after I buy it like I did today, I'll call you.

i like the first one (very minimalist), the ecru calla lily one, and the picture one. the art gallery one is rather charming and funky, but i'm not sure it's really what you're looking for. i'd also guess that if the website says that the invitations are purple that i'd believe the statement rather than guesstimating the colour based upon what you can see on the screen, but maybe i'm just overly cautious like that.

miss you!

I miss you too! I'll probably have mom go look at a store that has them...certainly won't order anything without seeing it (I think mom vetoed the art museum one...)

Thanks so much for your help everyone! I know you're all really busy...
