Long Etrangère

The road goes ever on and on/ Out from the door from where it began/ Now, far ahead the road has gone/ And I must follow if I can/ Pursuing it with eager feet/ Until it meets some other way/ Where many paths and errands meet/ And whither then I cannot say. J.R.R. Tolkien

current ideas about bridesmaids dresses

Imagine them all in blue. Of course, how they will look on an actual person is anyone's guess. Comments welcomed and encouraged.

Wow, they are all so cute if the decision lay with me I'd just have to blindfold myself and pick at random. Cindy will look darling in any of them. :)

of course. Cindy always looks darling :)The one in white and pink, simple straight with the sash, reminds me of the power puff girls. If you got them in green, blue and pink with black sashes, they could double as Halloween costumes. Cindy can be Bubbles, B. can be Buttercup and V. can be Blossom in her pink/redness. I don't know what we'd do with J.

Or I could let Cindy use this idea when she gets married (I call Bubbles!) (jk)

you can see some of them in blue at:

number 7 I think is kind of expensive, but numbers 1 and 6 are in the "refreshingly affordable" line. I'm partial to 1 myself, though I thought it might be a little adventurous...we'll hopefully see how it looks on someone who isn't airbrushed.

You're always darling...but hopefully I'll be gorgeous that day :D

(what an awful name!)

if you feel like procrastinating you can look around...

Of course you'll be gorgeous Lauren!!! You're gorgeous anyway, but it's the bride's very duty to be doubly gorgeous on her wedding day. :) I know you won't let us down!

the first four are darling darling darling darling. i'm particularly partial to the first two. the third one could have a cute vintage-y look to it or could look kinda dowdy...it's hard to figure out how it would look on a real person. i also like the one in the bottom four in pink/brown, but the other three in the bottom four aren't calling to me. then again, it's your day and none of them make me want to run away screaming. and i think any of them would look fine in blue...are you still thinking about roughly the same blue shade as you originally had in mind?

and thanks for calling me as buttercup. ;-)

more or less the same. Something in a relatively medium shade. #1 would be lighter blue with kinda a royal blue ribbon. number three actually has kinda sparkly beads on the top...not too much...I don't know if that helps any...the truc to enlarge the picture doesn't seem to be working on the website. And the model is scary looking, which doesn't help.

you not wanting to run away screaming is a good thing :)

number one seems to be a favorite all around...V. says it's her second choice (after the flowy peach one with the flower on the hip.) J.? (of course...she still has to try it on...)
