Long Etrangère

The road goes ever on and on/ Out from the door from where it began/ Now, far ahead the road has gone/ And I must follow if I can/ Pursuing it with eager feet/ Until it meets some other way/ Where many paths and errands meet/ And whither then I cannot say. J.R.R. Tolkien

Vive St. Nicolas!
My favorite story about the Bishop of Mira (St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker) is when he slapped the heretic Arius in the face, teehee.
He was thrown into prison and stripped of his bishop's clothes, but in prayer he saw Christ and Mary appear to him and Mary gave him his bishop's garment back. To be re-instated by the Queen--whoa!
I can't believe the Episcopalians turned this hardcore bishop into a fat elf. Gross. (It was Episcopalians who started the whole "Santa Claus" thing.)
